The Meeting of Young Researchers in the Earth Sciences (MYRES) is an inter-disciplinary
conference series and international community building effort in the
solid Earth sciences.
The kick-off meeting, MYRES-I on "Heat,
Helium, Hotspots, and Whole Mantle Convection" was held in San
Diego 2004; from material from this meeting, see the
MYRES-I pages.
The core team that worked on MYRES-I consisted of Thorsten Becker (USC), Magali Billen (UC
Davis), James Kellogg (UCSB), Jeanne Hardebeck (USGS Menlo Park), Cin-Ty Lee (Rice), Laurent
Montesi (WHOI), Wendy Panero (U Michigan), Frederik Simons (Princeton), and Shijie Zhong (U
Boulder).
Please see www.myres.org, the MYRES
web page for information on where MYRES went from there, including
MYRES-II, MYRES-III,
and MYRES-2010.
For posting to the MYRES email list please see
the MYRES forum page.
